Abelcet side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on May 16, 2007. Female patient, 39 years of age, was diagnosed with zygomycosis and was treated with Abelcet. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: respiratory failure. Abelcet dosage: 5 MG/KG;IV. During the same period patient was treated with CYCLOSPORINE, PREDNISONE, EPOGEN. Patient died.

Male patient, 37 years of age, was diagnosed with cryptococcosis, nervous system disorder and was treated with Abelcet. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: apnoea, glossitis, intracranial pressure increased, respiratory failure, tongue oedema. Abelcet dosage: 5 MG/KG; QD. Patient recovered.

Male patient, weighting 21.38 lb, was diagnosed with antifungal prophylaxis and was treated with Abelcet. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cerebral infarction, haemodynamic instability, infusion related reaction, respiratory failure. Abelcet dosage: 50 MG TOTAL VOLUME OVER 4 HOURS; IV. Patient died on 12/10/2005.
