Amantadine Side Effects Report #5206671-4
Amantadine side effect was reported by a Physician from JAPAN on Dec 25, 2006. Female patient, 73 years of age, was diagnosed with parkinsonism and was treated with Amantadine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bedridden, cerebral infarction, coma, dementia , gait disturbance, lacunar infarction, myoclonus, pyrexia. Amantadine dosage: 300 MG, QD, ORAL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 74 years of age, was diagnosed with parkinson's disease  and was treated with Amantadine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dehydration, dysstasia, hearing impaired, myoclonus, pyrexia, reflexes abnormal, renal impairment, speech disorder. Amantadine dosage: 200 MG;QD;PO. During the same period patient was treated with DROXIDOPA. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bedridden, cerebral infarction, coma, dementia , lacunar infarction, myoclonus, neuroleptic malignant syndrome, status epilepticus. Amantadine dosage: 300MG;QD;PO. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.

Amantadine dosage: 200 MG, QD. During the same period patient was treated with DROXIDOPA. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 59 years of age, was diagnosed with essential tremor, parkinsonism, schizophrenia and was treated with Amantadine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dysphagia, dyspnoea, myoclonus. Amantadine dosage: 100 MG, TID,. During the same period patient was treated with CLOZARIL, CELEXA, SEROQUEL, METOPROLOL TARTRATE, RAMIPRIL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
