Ambisome side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from on Dec 28, 2004. Male patient, 85 years of age, was diagnosed with sepsis  and was treated with Ambisome. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: pneumonia , sepsis . Ambisome dosage: 5.00 MG/KG, UID/QD, INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with ROCEPHIN, FLAGYL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 12/02/2004.

Male patient, 51 years of age, weighting 154.3 lb, was diagnosed with mucormycosis, hypertension, diabetes mellitus and was treated with Ambisome. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardio-respiratory arrest, lung disorder, renal failure acute, sepsis . Ambisome dosage: 10 MG/KG, UID/QD, IV NOS; 7.5 MG/KG, UID/QD, IV NOS; 3 MG/KG, UID/QD, IV NOS. During the same period patient was treated with PERINDOPRIL ERBUMINE, ACTRAPID, LANTUS. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 01/05/2008.
