Antabuse side effect was reported by a Health Professional from SPAIN on Nov 30, 2007. Male patient, 40 years of age, was diagnosed with alcoholism What is  alcoholism and was treated with Antabuse. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bradyphrenia, cerebral atrophy, coma, delirium, disorientation, encephalopathy, grand mal convulsion, oxygen saturation decreased, pneumonia aspiration. Antabuse dosage: 250 MG, QD, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with FOSAMPRENAVIR, TENOFOVIR, EMTRICITABINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, weighting 160.0 lb, was diagnosed with alcoholism What is  alcoholism and was treated with Antabuse. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acidosis, coma, depressed level of consciousness, dermatitis exfoliative, disseminated intravascular coagulation, exfoliative rash, heart rate increased, hepatic failure, hyperbilirubinaemia. Antabuse dosage: 500 MG DAILY MON, WED, FRIDAY PO. During the same period patient was treated with PROZAC, CYPROHEPTADINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
