Apixaban side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED KINGDOM on Oct 30, 2008. Male patient, 79 years of age, was diagnosed with thrombosis prophylaxis and was treated with Apixaban. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bronchopneumonia, cardiopulmonary failure, haematemesis, pulmonary haemorrhage. Apixaban dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with COUMADIN, METOPROLOL TARTRATE, FOSINOPRIL, HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE, ACETYLSALICYLIC ACID SRT, RANITIDINE, SERENOA REPENS. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 09/22/2008.
