Consumer or non-health professional from SWITZERLAND reported Aredia side effect on Sept 23, 2005. Female patient, 59 years of age, was diagnosed with osteoporosis  and was treated with Aredia. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: headache , hyperacusis, tinnitus . Aredia dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with MAGNESIUM, CALCIUM GLUCONATE. Patient recovered.

Male patient, child 12 years of age, was diagnosed with osteogenesis imperfecta  and was treated with Aredia. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: back pain , blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood parathyroid hormone increased, bone disorder, bone pain, foot fracture, hand fracture, headache , hyperparathyroidism secondary. Aredia dosage: 10 MG ON 3 CONSECUTIVE DAYS. During the same period patient was treated with CALCIUM. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anxiety , decreased interest, dizziness , headache , nuclear magnetic resonance imaging brain, optic neuritis, osteonecrosis . Aredia dosage: 90 MG, QMO. During the same period patient was treated with ZOMETA, DEXAMETHASONE, INTERFERON, THALIDOMIDE, PROCARDIA, BACTRIM DS, DIFLUCAN, RESTORIL. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 58 years of age, weighting 183.0 lb, was diagnosed with metastases to bone, breast cancer , bone pain, back pain  and was treated with Aredia. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bone pain, breast cancer , dysgeusia, gingival disorder, headache , hypoaesthesia, hypoaesthesia oral, hypogeusia, metastases to central nervous system. Aredia dosage: 45 MG, TIW. During the same period patient was treated with TAXOTERE, XELODA, PROGESTON WYETH, VOLTAREN, INTEBAN, THERARUBICIN, ENDOXAN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 09/23/2005.
