Azacitidine Side Effects Report #5101910-2
Azacitidine side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Aug 25, 2006. Male patient, 41 years of age, weighting 123.5 lb, was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer and was treated with Azacitidine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, blood albumin decreased, budd-chiari syndrome, epistaxis, hepatic congestion, hepatic failure, hepatomegaly, liver disorder. Azacitidine dosage: 50 MG/M2/DAY FOR CYCLE 1 THEN 37.5 MG/M2/DAY THEREAFTER (DAYS 1-11 [SKIPPING SUNDAYS]), SUBCUTANEOUS. During the same period patient was treated with VORINOSTAT, CODEINE PHOSPHATE, INDOMETHACIN, OMEPRAZOLE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 07/22/2006.
