Basiliximab Side Effects Report #6060789-5
Basiliximab side effect was reported by a Health Professional from ITALY on Jan 27, 2009. Male patient, 18 years of age, was diagnosed with renal transplant, type 1 diabetes mellitus and was treated with Basiliximab. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood albumin decreased, blood creatinine increased, glomerulosclerosis, hypertension, oedema peripheral, proteinuria, type 1 diabetes mellitus, urine protein/creatinine ratio increased. Basiliximab dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with TACROLIMUS, MYCOPHENOLATE MOFETIL, STEROIDS NOS, INSULIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 70 years of age, was diagnosed with heart transplant What is  heart transplant and was treated with Basiliximab. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, haemodialysis, infection What is  infection, oedema peripheral, renal failure acute. Basiliximab dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CYCLOSPORINE, SIROLIMUS, MYCOPHENOLATE MOFETIL, STEROIDS NOS. Patient died.
