Captopril Side Effects Report #4554092-X
Captopril side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from on Jan 13, 2005. Female patient, 88 years of age, weighting 99.21 lb, was diagnosed with hypertension and was treated with Captopril. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood potassium increased. Captopril dosage: 25 MG EVERY 8 HOURS OTHER. During the same period patient was treated with POTASSIUM CHLORIDE. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aspiration, atelectasis, blood glucose increased, blood ph decreased, blood potassium increased, blood pressure decreased, blood sodium decreased, body temperature decreased, cardiac function test abnormal. Captopril dosage: 1.5 MG TID ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with LASIX, ZANTAC, ASPIRIN, PLAVIX. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
