Carafate side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Nov 04, 2008. Female patient, 77 years of age, was diagnosed with gastrooesophageal reflux disease and was treated with Carafate. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain upper, chest pain What is  chest pain, dysgeusia, malaise, nausea What is  nausea, product quality issue. Carafate dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CORDARONE, TOPROL, ECOPRIN, SYNTHROID, ESTRATES, SYMBYAX, ZANTAC, MACRODANTIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
