Carbidopa Side Effects Report #5467560-3
Carbidopa side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Sept 12, 2007. Male patient, 76 years of age, weighting 215.0 lb, was diagnosed with parkinson's disease  and was treated with Carbidopa. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anxiety , diarrhoea, nausea , pneumonia , swollen tongue. Carbidopa dosage: 25 MG;QID;PO. During the same period patient was treated with AGGRENOX, HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE, METOPROLOL SUCCINATE, TERAZOSIN, LIPITOR, GLYBURIDE, AVELOX, ZOLOFT. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: peptic ulcer perforation, peritonitis, pneumonia . Carbidopa dosage: 28JAN08-01FEB08,300MG/D,ORAL;INCREASED TO 324MG/D,02-05FEB08,DISCONTINUED.. During the same period patient was treated with TANNALBIN, OMEPRAL, MADOPAR. Patient died on 02/11/2008.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, condition aggravated, gastrointestinal haemorrhage, pneumonia , pulmonary oedema, respiratory failure. Carbidopa dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CARBIDOPA AND LEVODOPA, CIPROFLOXACIN, OMEPRAZOLE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 06/12/2006.
