Cefotaxime side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from on Aug 30, 2005. Female patient, child 11 years of age, weighting 132.3 lb, was diagnosed with osteomyelitis, encephalitis , agitation and was treated with Cefotaxime. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cerebral infarction, encephalitis , osteomyelitis, rash maculo-papular, sinusitis . Cefotaxime dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with METRONIDAZOLE, ACYCLOVIR, CHLORAL HYDRATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
