Chloramphenicol side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED KINGDOM on July 10, 2007. Female patient, 74 years of age, was diagnosed with cataract operation, local anaesthesia, postoperative care and was treated with Chloramphenicol. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: conjunctival oedema, exophthalmos, eye movement disorder, eye swelling, parophthalmia, periorbital fat herniation, visual acuity reduced. Chloramphenicol dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with PREDNISOLONE, BUPIVACAINE, CEFUROXIME, HYALURONIDASE, LIDOCAINE. Patient recovered.
