Codeine side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from on Jan 07, 2005. Male patient, 62 years of age, was diagnosed with cough, pneumonia  and was treated with Codeine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatinine increased, blood urea increased, coma, miosis, renal impairment, respiratory failure. Codeine dosage: 75 MG (25 MG THREE TIMES A DAY), PO. During the same period patient was treated with CLARITHROMYCIN, VORICONAZOLE, CEFTRIAXONE, VALPROIC ACID. Patient recovered.
