Colchicine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from on Jan 12, 2005. Male patient, 74 years of age, weighting 216.1 lb, was diagnosed with gout
and was treated with Colchicine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal distension, abdominal pain
, acidosis, blood pressure decreased, bradycardia, cardiac arrest
, cardiotoxicity, coma, dyspnoea. Colchicine dosage: 2 MG ONCE INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with LASIX, MORPHINE, COMBIVENT, FOLIC ACID, HEPARIN SQ, PROTONIX IV, NEUTRAPHOS. Patient died on 01/27/2004.Colchicine Side Effects Report #5376297-0

, diarrhoea, dyspnoea, hypoperfusion, hypoxia, multi-organ failure. Colchicine dosage: 24 MG, SINGLE, ORAL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.
