Colchicine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from on Jan 12, 2005. Male patient, 74 years of age, weighting 216.1 lb, was diagnosed with gout  and was treated with Colchicine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal distension, abdominal pain , acidosis, blood pressure decreased, bradycardia, cardiac arrest , cardiotoxicity, coma, dyspnoea. Colchicine dosage: 2 MG ONCE INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with LASIX, MORPHINE, COMBIVENT, FOLIC ACID, HEPARIN SQ, PROTONIX IV, NEUTRAPHOS. Patient died on 01/27/2004.

Colchicine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from NEW ZEALAND on June 19, 2007. Male patient, 19 years of age, was diagnosed with completed suicide and was treated with Colchicine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , acidosis, cardiac arrest , depressed level of consciousness, diarrhoea, hypotension, renal failure acute, vomiting. Colchicine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with NSAID, AUGMENTIN, AMOXICILLIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

Colchicine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from NEW ZEALAND on June 19, 2007. Male patient, 56 years of age, was treated with Colchicine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: accidental overdose, acidosis, cardiac arrest , diarrhoea, dyspnoea, hypoperfusion, hypoxia, multi-organ failure. Colchicine dosage: 24 MG, SINGLE, ORAL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.
