Colchicine and confusional state Patient Reports February 10, 2010

Colchicine Side Effects Report #4610623-2
Colchicine side effect was reported by a Physician from on Mar 07, 2005. Female patient, 54 years of age, was diagnosed with pain  and was treated with Colchicine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , acute respiratory distress syndrome, agranulocytosis, alopecia, asthenia, bacteraemia, blood creatine phosphokinase increased, confusional state, diarrhoea. Colchicine dosage: 7 2MG DOSES INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with CITALOPRAM HYDROBROMIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Colchicine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from NEW ZEALAND on June 19, 2007. Male patient, 78 years of age, was diagnosed with gout  and was treated with Colchicine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , agitation, bronchopneumonia, coagulopathy, confusional state, multi-organ failure, neutropenia, overdose. Colchicine dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aphasia , asthenia, cerebrovascular accident, confusional state, demyelination, dysarthria, hemiparesis, multi-organ failure, nervous system disorder. Colchicine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with PREDNISONE, CYTOXAN, REMICADE, PLAQUENIL. Patient died on 10/02/2007.

Male patient was diagnosed with vasculitis , immunosuppression, rheumatoid arthritis , sleep disorder , chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, prophylaxis and was treated with Colchicine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anorexia, aphasia , asthenia, cerebrovascular accident, confusional state, dysarthria, hemiparesis, multi-organ failure, nervous system disorder. Colchicine dosage: 0.6 MG IN 1 DAY. During the same period patient was treated with PREDNISONE, CYTOXAN, REMICADE, PLAQUENIL, RESTORIL, ASPIRIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 10/02/2007.
