Cortef side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on Sept 10, 2007. Female patient, 45 years of age, weighting 106.0 lb, was diagnosed with cushing's syndrome, hypopituitarism and was treated with Cortef. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: convulsion, dehydration, diarrhoea, dizziness , migraine , pyrexia, vomiting. Cortef dosage: 10MG MIDDAY + PM PO. Patient recovered.

Male patient, weighting 127.9 lb, was diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency and was treated with Cortef. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, blood cortisol decreased, blood sodium decreased, convulsion, haemoglobin decreased. Cortef dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DEPAKOTE, DILAUDID, CLONIDINE, ASACOL, FLUOXETINE, ACIPHEX, DOMPERIDONE, ZEGERID. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 22 years of age, weighting 196.2 lb, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia, pyrexia and was treated with Cortef. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agitation, anxiety , aphasia , convulsion, depressed level of consciousness, haemoglobin increased, mydriasis, neutrophil count increased, platelet count decreased. Cortef dosage: 50 MG. During the same period patient was treated with CYTARABINE, RANITIDINE, METHOTREXATE, PIPERACILLIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
