Dacogen Side Effects Report #5242978-2
Dacogen side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Jan 30, 2007. Male patient, 76 years of age, was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome and was treated with Dacogen. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anti-platelet antibody positive, haemolysis, idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, neutropenia, pneumonia , sepsis , splenomegaly. Dacogen dosage: 20 MG/M**2; QD; IV. During the same period patient was treated with EXJADE, CYMBALTA, GLUCOVANCE, DIOVAN HCT. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: chills, dyspnoea, haemoglobin decreased, haemolysis, idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, neutropenia, platelet destruction increased, pneumonia , sepsis . Dacogen dosage: 20 MG/M2; QD; IV. During the same period patient was treated with EXJADE, CYMBALTA, GLUCOVANCE, DIOVAN HCT. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Dacogen side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Jan 10, 2008. Male patient, 75 years of age, was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome and was treated with Dacogen. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute respiratory distress syndrome, anaemia, blood bilirubin increased, blood sodium decreased, platelet count decreased, pneumonia , prothrombin time prolonged, respiratory failure, white blood cell count increased. Dacogen dosage: 40 MG, 1 IN 1 DAY; INJECTION. During the same period patient was treated with FORTAZ, ACETAMINOPHEN, PRBC, PLATELETS, LEVAQUIN, PROCRIT. Patient died on 08/30/2006.
