Dalteparin side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED KINGDOM on Aug 22, 2008. Male patient, 79 years of age, was diagnosed with thrombosis prophylaxis and was treated with Dalteparin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood albumin decreased, blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood creatinine increased, blood phosphorus decreased, blood sodium decreased, gamma-glutamyltransferase increased, haemoglobin decreased, hypotension, international normalised ratio increased. Dalteparin dosage: unknown. Patient died on 08/22/2008.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood albumin decreased, blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood creatinine increased, blood phosphorus abnormal, blood sodium decreased, gamma-glutamyltransferase increased, hypotension, platelet count decreased, pneumonia . Dalteparin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CODEINE PHOSPHATE AND ACETAMINOPHEN, IBUPROFEN, GABAPENTIN, OMEPRAZOLE, TRAZODONE, AMLODIPINE, DISOPYRAMIDE, RAMIPRIL. Patient died on 08/22/2008.

Female patient, 84 years of age, weighting 123.5 lb, was diagnosed with pulmonary embolism  and was treated with Dalteparin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, blood bicarbonate increased, blood sodium decreased, haemoglobin decreased, hypertension, rectal haemorrhage. Dalteparin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DILTIAZEM HYDROCHLORIDE, BENDROFLUMETHIAZIDE, CITALOPRAM, DESLORATADINE, MEGESTROL ACETATE, NEBIVOLOL, PERINDOPRIL ERBUMINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
