Decitabine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on Oct 12, 2006. Male patient, 75 years of age, weighting 132.3 lb, was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome and was treated with Decitabine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood culture positive, bone marrow failure, candidiasis, clostridium difficile colitis, cognitive disorder, diarrhoea, enterococcal infection, lung infection, sepsis . Decitabine dosage: 10 MG/M2, 1 IN 1 DAY, INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with PROCRIT, NEUPOGEN, AUGMENTIN, MORPHINE SULPHATE, COZAAR, FLOMAX, FOLIC ACID, LANTUS. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Decitabine dosage: 41.6 MG, 1 IN 1 DAY, INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with METFORMIN, SIMVASTATIN, METOPROLOL TARTRATE, LEVATHYROXINE, CITALOPRAM HYDROBROMIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 06/08/2005.

Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient died on 03/22/2007.
