Dexmedetomidine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on Mar 05, 2008. Female patient, 41 years of age, weighting 363.8 lb, was diagnosed with maintenance of anaesthesia, induction of anaesthesia, prophylaxis of nausea and vomiting, neuromuscular blockade reversal and was treated with Dexmedetomidine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: atrioventricular block second degree, electrocardiogram pr prolongation, electrocardiogram qt prolonged, end-tidal co2 decreased, obesity
, post procedural complication, qrs axis abnormal. Dexmedetomidine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with FENTANYLECTION, SUCCINYLCHOLINE CHLORIDE, DROPERIDOLECTION, NEOSTIGMINE METHYLSULPHATEECTION, DESFLURANE, PROPOFOL, LIDOCAINE, VECURONIUM. Patient recovered.
