Dextrose side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Apr 15, 2008. Male patient, 70 years of age, weighting 162.9 lb, was diagnosed with preoperative care and was treated with Dextrose. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: activated partial thromboplastin time prolonged, haemoglobin decreased, hypotension, left ventricular dysfunction, thrombocytopenia. Dextrose dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ALBUTEROL, ACETAMINOPHEN AND HYDROCODONE BITARTRATE, ARTIFICIAL TEARS, CYANOCOBALAMIN, FOLIC ACID, GABAPENTIN, HEPARIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 84 years of age, weighting 121.3 lb, was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation What is  atrial fibrillation and was treated with Dextrose. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: activated partial thromboplastin time prolonged, haemoglobin decreased, hypotension, lethargy, mental status changes, retroperitoneal haemorrhage. Dextrose dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
