Flucytosine side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Aug 07, 2008. Female patient, 55 years of age, was diagnosed with cryptococcosis and was treated with Flucytosine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac failure, cardiomyopathy
, hyperhidrosis, hypotension, mental status changes, nausea
, renal failure acute. Flucytosine dosage: 6400 MG;QD. During the same period patient was treated with AMPHOTERICIN B, NABUMETONE, IMIPRAMINE, ESCITALOPRAM, BACLOFEN, ACYCLOVIR, ESOMEPRAZOLE, CETIRIZINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
