Fosphenytoin side effect was reported by a Health Professional from FRANCE on July 23, 2008. Female patient, 88 years of age, was diagnosed with status epilepticus and was treated with Fosphenytoin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cholestasis, cytolytic hepatitis. Fosphenytoin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with NOROXIN, ATENOLOL, VALPROATE, FUROSEMIDE, POTASSIUM CHLORIDE, TIANEPTINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: accidental overdose, adrenal disorder, cardiac disorder, cardio-respiratory arrest neonatal, cerebral haemorrhage neonatal, cholestasis, convulsion neonatal, glomerulosclerosis, hepatic steatosis. Fosphenytoin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with PHENOBARBITAL. Patient died on 12/25/2004.
