Gefitinib side effect was reported by a Health Professional from on Feb 02, 2005. Female patient, weighting 185.0 lb, was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme and was treated with Gefitinib. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bedridden, brain oedema, depressed level of consciousness, epistaxis, gingival bleeding, haematochezia, haematuria, haemorrhage, malignant neoplasm progression. Gefitinib dosage: 500 MG PO, QD. During the same period patient was treated with RAPAMUNE. Patient died on 12/12/2004.

Gefitinib dosage: 1500 MG, PO, QD. During the same period patient was treated with RAPAMUNE, AVALIDE, DECADRON SRC, KEPPRA, PEPCID, LOVENOX, MAGIC MOUTHWASH, PHENERGAN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Patient recovered.
