Glucobay side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from JAPAN on Feb 25, 2009. Female patient, 82 years of age, was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus, pyrexia and was treated with Glucobay. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: hypoglycaemic coma. Glucobay dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with LEVOFLOXACIN. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 60 years of age, weighting 132.3 lb, was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus and was treated with Glucobay. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: amnesia, apathy, blood pressure increased, depressed level of consciousness, diarrhoea, feeling abnormal, glycosylated haemoglobin increased, hypoglycaemic coma, influenza like illness. Glucobay dosage: 300 MG, TOTAL DAILY, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with GLIMEPIRIDE, PANIPENEM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
