Holoxan side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Aug 27, 2008. Male patient, 33 years of age, was diagnosed with germ cell cancer and was treated with Holoxan. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dehydration, febrile bone marrow aplasia, renal impairment, septic shock, vomiting. Holoxan dosage: 2340MG TOTAL DAILY DOSE FROM DAY 1 TO DAY 5.. During the same period patient was treated with CISPLATYL, GEMZAR. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Patient died on 08/17/2008.

Male patient, child 11 years of age, was diagnosed with chondrosarcoma, metastases to lung and was treated with Holoxan. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anal inflammation, coma, encephalitis , febrile bone marrow aplasia, hypotension, multi-organ failure, vomiting. Holoxan dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ADRIAMYCIN PFS, UROMITEXAN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 12/12/2007.
