Idarubicin side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED KINGDOM on Oct 16, 2007. Male patient, 69 years of age, weighting 152.8 lb, was diagnosed with multiple myeloma What is  multiple myeloma, hyperuricaemia, nausea What is  nausea and was treated with Idarubicin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cough, dyspnoea, malaise, neutropenic sepsis, overdose, white blood cell count decreased. Idarubicin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DEXAMETHASONE, ALLOPURINOL, CYCLIZINE. Patient died on 01/09/2007.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood gases abnormal, computerised tomogram abnormal, crepitations, dyspnoea, escherichia infection, hypoxia, lung disorder. Idarubicin dosage: 21 MG (10 MG, EVERY DAY), INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with CYTARABINE, FILGRASTIM, AMPHOTERICIN B, OFLOXACIN, CEFEPIME. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 61 years of age, weighting 105.8 lb, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia, ill-defined disorder and was treated with Idarubicin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aplasia, chest wall pain, dyspnoea, heart rate increased, leukaemia, lung disorder, pleural effusion, respiratory rate increased. Idarubicin dosage: 1.5 GRAM (15 MG, CYCLIC), INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with CYTATRABINE, METHYLPREDNISONE ACETATE, ONDANSETRON, RANITIDINE HYDROCHLORIDE, NEFOPAM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
