Idarubicin side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED KINGDOM on Oct 16, 2007. Male patient, 69 years of age, weighting 152.8 lb, was diagnosed with multiple myeloma What is  multiple myeloma, hyperuricaemia, nausea What is  nausea and was treated with Idarubicin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cough, dyspnoea, malaise, neutropenic sepsis, overdose, white blood cell count decreased. Idarubicin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DEXAMETHASONE, ALLOPURINOL, CYCLIZINE. Patient died on 01/09/2007.

Idarubicin side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Nov 14, 2008. Male patient, 41 years of age, was diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukaemia and was treated with Idarubicin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: chronic myelomonocytic leukaemia, haemoglobin decreased, neutrophil count decreased, platelet count decreased, refusal of treatment by patient, white blood cell count decreased. Idarubicin dosage: 12MG/M2 PER DAY IV BOLUS, DAYS 1,2,4,6, AND 8. During the same period patient was treated with MITOXANTRONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: diarrhoea, hypokalaemia, neutropenia, thrombocytopenia, vomiting, white blood cell count decreased. Idarubicin dosage: 18 MG, DAILY, INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with IDARUBICIN HYDROCHLORIDE, CYTARABINE, ETOPOSIDE, FILGRASTIM, AMPHOTERICIN B, AMPHOTERICIN B, ALLOPURINOL, PANTOPRAZOLE. Patient recovered.

Idarubicin dosage: 18 MG (18 MG, QD), INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with CYTARABINE, MITOXANTRONE, VANCOMYCIN HYDROCHLORIDE, ITRACONAZOLE, SULFAMETHOXAZOLE, MEROPEN, AMIKACIN SULPHATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 12/13/2005.
