Imipenem side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Feb 12, 2008. Male patient, 41 years of age, weighting 134.5 lb, was diagnosed with mycobacterium avium complex infection and was treated with Imipenem. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cerebral atrophy, grand mal convulsion. Imipenem dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 71 years of age, weighting 162.0 lb, was diagnosed with cholecystitis, urosepsis and was treated with Imipenem. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: grand mal convulsion. Imipenem dosage: 500 MG QID IV. During the same period patient was treated with IMIPENEM AND CILASTATIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agitation, confusional state, dyskinesia, grand mal convulsion, mental status changes. Imipenem dosage: 500 MG EVERY 6 HOURS IV. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
