Imipenem Side Effects Report #4984990-4
Imipenem side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Apr 26, 2006. Male patient, 25 years of age, weighting 147.0 lb, was diagnosed with lung infection pseudomonal and was treated with Imipenem. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: clostridium difficile toxin test positive, colitis pseudomembranous, fluid overload, metabolic acidosis, pneumonia What is  pneumonia, renal failure acute, white blood cell count increased. Imipenem dosage: 250 MG EVERY 8 HOURS IV. During the same period patient was treated with OYSTERSHELL CALCIUM, FOLIC ACID, ULTRASE MT, DILTIAZEM, PRAVASTATIN, AMITRIPTYLINE, METOCLOPRAMIDE, THERAPEUTIC VITAMIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Imipenem side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Jan 23, 2006. Male patient, 52 years of age, was treated with Imipenem. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alcohol use, alcohol withdrawal syndrome, injury, liver disorder, pancreatitis necrotising, pyrexia, white blood cell count increased. Imipenem dosage: 500 MG Q 6 H, IV. During the same period patient was treated with CEFTRIAXONE, UNASYN, ZOSYN, KEFLEX, DOXYCYCLINE, NERUONTIN, ASPIRIN, ATENOLOL. Patient recovered.
