Lovastatin Side Effects Report #4665937-7
Lovastatin side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from on May 17, 2005. Male patient, 82 years of age, weighting 153.0 lb, was diagnosed with hyperlipidaemia, hypertension and was treated with Lovastatin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , azotaemia, back pain , blood bicarbonate decreased, blood potassium increased, encephalopathy, haemodialysis, haemodynamic instability, intestinal infarction. Lovastatin dosage: 40MG BID ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with VERAPAMIL, LISINOPRIL, NSAIDS, CYCLOBENZAPRINE, DIGITEK, LEVOTHROID, AMILORIDE AND HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE, ASPIRIN. Patient died on 05/15/2005.
