Macrodantin side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from on Feb 01, 2005. Male patient, 78 years of age, was diagnosed with bacteria urine identified and was treated with Macrodantin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac murmur, cough, crackles lung, lower respiratory tract inflammation, lung disorder, lung infection. Macrodantin dosage: 100 MG TWICE DAILY, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with NITROFURANTOIN, CHOLESTEROL, ACETYLSALICYLIC ACID SRT. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 64 years of age, weighting 165.0 lb, was diagnosed with urinary tract infection What is  urinary tract infection and was treated with Macrodantin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anorexia, asthenia, chest discomfort, cough, dysgeusia, hepatic cyst, hepatic enzyme increased, lung infiltration. Macrodantin dosage: 100MG 1X DAY 047. During the same period patient was treated with MACROBID. Patient recovered.
