Female patient, 67 years of age, was diagnosed with malaria prophylaxis, tinea versicolour and was treated with Mefloquine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood lactate dehydrogenase increased, c-reactive protein increased, eosinophilia, eosinophilic pneumonia, hypoxia, normochromic normocytic anaemia, pyrexia, red blood cell sedimentation rate increased, tachycardia. Mefloquine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with KETOCONAZOLE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
