Mercaptopurine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Mar 13, 2006. Male patient, 13 years of age, weighting 74.96 lb, was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease and was treated with Mercaptopurine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , nausea , pyrexia. Mercaptopurine dosage: 50 MG PO Q DAY. During the same period patient was treated with NEXIUM, PREDNISONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
