Mercaptopurine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on May 16, 2007. Female patient, 72 years of age, weighting 149.9 lb, was diagnosed with polymyositis and was treated with Mercaptopurine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: haemoglobin decreased, white blood cell count decreased. Mercaptopurine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with LOPRESSOR, NOVOLIN R, CYMBALTA, ASPIRIN, CLONIDINE, PLAVIX, DIGOXIN, FOLIC ACID. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: autoimmune hepatitis, condition aggravated, hepatosplenomegaly, pancytopenia, sepsis What is  sepsis, t-cell lymphoma, vein disorder, white blood cell count decreased. Mercaptopurine dosage: 75 MG; QD/4.5 YEARS. During the same period patient was treated with INFLIXIMAB, PREDNISONE, HYDROCORTISONE, MESALAMINE, METRONIDAZOLE, CORTICOSTERIODS. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.
