Meropen side effect was reported by a Health Professional from JAPAN on Jan 08, 2008. Male patient, 65 years of age, was diagnosed with meningitis bacterial, headache , depression , migraine , keratitis, gastritis, gastric ulcer haemorrhage and was treated with Meropen. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cholestasis, eosinophilia, pyrexia, renal impairment. Meropen dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with LOXONIN, TRYPTANOL, TERRANAS, HYALEIN, SELBEX, OMEPRAL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 61 years of age, weighting 158.7 lb, was diagnosed with infection , cardiac failure, anaemia, cardiac failure acute, acute myocardial infarction and was treated with Meropen. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: atelectasis, bradycardia, cardiac failure, cold sweat, coronary artery stenosis, cryptogenic organizing pneumonia, dyspnoea, eosinophilia, hepatomegaly. Meropen dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with VANCOMYCIN, MILRILA, DOBUTAMINE, SIGMART, FESIN, SOLDACTONE, ASPIRIN. Patient recovered.
