Mesalazine side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from SPAIN on June 02, 2006. Male patient, 39 years of age, was diagnosed with colitis ulcerative and was treated with Mesalazine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood albumin decreased, c-reactive protein increased, cardiac murmur, cardiomegaly, chest pain
, colitis ulcerative, mitral valve incompetence, myopericarditis, pyrexia. Mesalazine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with METHYLPREDNISOLONE, HEPARIN, CALCIUM, ENTERAL NUTRITION, VITAMIN D. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
