Female patient, 74 years of age, weighting 108.0 lb, was diagnosed with constipation  and was treated with Metamucil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood pressure systolic increased, chest discomfort, dysphagia, dyspnoea, ear pain, foreign body trauma, oesophageal obstruction, oesophagitis. Metamucil dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with INJECTIONS OSTEOPOROSIS. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
