Methimazole side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on June 16, 2008. Female patient, 42 years of age, was diagnosed with basedow's disease and was treated with Methimazole. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: febrile neutropenia, lymphadenopathy, mononucleosis heterophile test positive, odynophagia, pharyngeal disorder, pharyngolaryngeal pain, rash pustular, skin laceration. Methimazole dosage: unknown. Patient recovered.

During the same period patient was treated with ATENOLOL, ZYRTEC. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
