Modacin Side Effects Report #4862548-5
Modacin side effect was reported by a Health Professional from JAPAN on Nov 17, 2005. Male patient, 75 years of age, was diagnosed with postoperative infection, cardiac failure, gastric ulcer, respiratory disorder and was treated with Modacin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood lactate dehydrogenase increased, gamma-glutamyltransferase increased, hepatic function abnormal, liver disorder, white blood cell count increased. Modacin dosage: 1000MG TWICE PER DAY. During the same period patient was treated with CLIDAMACIN, MILLISROL, FULCALIQ, ZANTAC, MINERALIN, BISOLVON, FESIN, GLUCOSE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 89 years of age, weighting 79.37 lb, was diagnosed with pneumonia aspiration, lung disorder and was treated with Modacin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood creatine phosphokinase increased, blood creatinine increased, blood lactate dehydrogenase increased, blood urea, blood urea increased, gamma-glutamyltransferase increased. Modacin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CLINDAMYCIN, ELASPOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood bilirubin increased, blood lactate dehydrogenase increased, gamma-glutamyltransferase increased, hepatic function abnormal. Modacin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with FOSFLUCONAZOLE, DALACIN, GASTER, PENICILLIN, SELBEX, CYANOCOBALAMIN, VOLTAREN, PREDNISOLONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
