Modacin Side Effects Report #5082415-4
Modacin side effect was reported by a Physician from JAPAN on Aug 02, 2006. Male patient, 68 years of age, weighting 119.0 lb, was diagnosed with pneumonia pneumococcal, chronic respiratory failure, diabetes mellitus, prophylaxis against gastrointestinal ulcer, fluid replacement and was treated with Modacin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood urea increased, cardiac failure, haematemesis, hypercapnia, hyperhidrosis, painful respiration, pallor, pleural effusion, prolonged expiration. Modacin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DIAMOX, EUGLUCON, SELBEX, THEOLONG, HUMULIN, AMINOFLUID, GASTER. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 89 years of age, weighting 79.37 lb, was diagnosed with pneumonia aspiration, lung disorder and was treated with Modacin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood creatine phosphokinase increased, blood creatinine increased, blood lactate dehydrogenase increased, blood urea, blood urea increased, gamma-glutamyltransferase increased. Modacin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CLINDAMYCIN, ELASPOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
