Neomycin side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on July 15, 2005. Female patient, 34 years of age, was diagnosed with ear infection  and was treated with Neomycin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: deafness, ear infection , facial palsy, graft complication, iatrogenic injury, mastoiditis, ototoxicity. Neomycin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with NEOMYCIN AND POLYMYXIN B SULPHATES AND HYDROCORTISONE OTIC U, NEOMYCIN AND POLYMYXIN B SULPHATES AND HYDROCORTISONE OTIC U, NEOMYCIN AND POLYMYXIN B SULPHATES AND HYDROCORTISONE OTIC U, FLOXIN OTIC. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 34 years of age, weighting 150.0 lb, was diagnosed with ear infection , otitis externa and was treated with Neomycin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: auricular swelling, condition aggravated, deafness unilateral, ear discomfort, ear disorder, ear infection , ear pain, ear pruritus. Neomycin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with NEOMYCIN AND POLYMYXIN B SULPHATES AND HYDROCORTISONE OTIC U, NEOMYCIN AND POLYMYXIN B SULPHATES AND HYDROCORTISONE OTIC U, NEOMYCIN AND POLYMYXIN B SULPHATES AND HYDROCORTISONE OTIC U, FLOXIN OTIC. Patient recovered.
