Noroxin Side Effects Report #5033941-5
Noroxin side effect was reported by a Health Professional from AUSTRALIA on June 14, 2006. Female patient, 60 years of age, was diagnosed with urinary tract infection  and was treated with Noroxin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood lactate dehydrogenase increased, confusional state, dizziness , haemolytic anaemia, jaundice , lethargy, pallor, tachycardia. Noroxin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with NITROFURANTOIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 76 years of age, weighting 123.5 lb, was diagnosed with cystitis, hypothyroidism, heart valve replacement, arrhythmia , dyslipidaemia and was treated with Noroxin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, blood lactate dehydrogenase increased, haematuria, haemolytic anaemia, international normalised ratio increased, pallor. Noroxin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with LEVOTHYROXINE, ACENOCOUMAROL, DIGOXIN, PRAVASTATIN, VALPROMIDE, CITALOPRAM, OXAZEPAM, ADRAFINIL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 71 years of age, was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus non-insulin-dependent, thrombosis prophylaxis and was treated with Noroxin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: haemolytic anaemia. Noroxin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with METFORMIN HYDROCHLORIDE, PENICILLIN V, ACETAMINOPHEN, ENOXAPARIN, FLUINDIONE, NICORANDIL, ESOMEPRAZOLE MAGNESIUM, AMLODIPINE BESYLATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 05/28/2006.
