Novonorm side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from CHINA on Sept 02, 2008. Male patient, 64 years of age, was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus and was treated with Novonorm. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, blood glucose increased, chest discomfort, confusional state, fatigue, ventricular extrasystoles. Novonorm dosage: 1.5 MG. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 70 years of age, weighting 152.1 lb, was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus non-insulin-dependent and was treated with Novonorm. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood glucose increased, femur fracture. Novonorm dosage: 6 MG, TID. During the same period patient was treated with DICHLOZID, BETALOC, TELMISARTAN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Novonorm dosage: 3 MG, QD. During the same period patient was treated with ACTRAPID, LANTUS, LASIX, CARDENSIEL, XANAX, NITRODERM, KARDEGIC, DIFFU K. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , aphasia , blood creatine increased, blood glucose increased, constipation , dysarthria, hemiparesis, hypoglycaemia. Novonorm dosage: 2 MG, QD. During the same period patient was treated with COLCHIMAX, APROVEL, ATORVASTATIN CALCIUM, CERIS, PLAVIX, SERMION, DUPHALAC. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
