Oseltamivir Side Effects Report #5916656-8
Oseltamivir side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Sept 30, 2008. Female patient, child 12 years of age, weighting 32.63 lb, was diagnosed with avian influenza, cerebral palsy, upper gastrointestinal haemorrhage, sedation, hypovolaemic shock and was treated with Oseltamivir. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute respiratory distress syndrome, septic shock. Oseltamivir dosage: THE PATIENT RECEIVED TAMIFLU (75 MG) 1/2 TAB BID AT 10 AM OF 27 SEP 2008. During the same period patient was treated with PHENOBARB, OMEPRAZOLE, ACETAMINOPHEN, MIDAZOLAM, CHLORAL HYDRATE, CHLORIDE. Patient recovered.

Oseltamivir dosage: THE PATIENT RECEIVED TAMIFLU (75 MG) 1/2 TAB BID AT 10 AM OF 27 SEP 2008. During the same period patient was treated with PHENOBARB, OMEPRAZOLE, ACETAMINOPHEN, MIDAZOLAM, CHLORAL HYDRATE, CHLORIDE, DEXTROSE. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute respiratory distress syndrome, pneumothorax, septic shock. Oseltamivir dosage: THE PATIENT RECEIVED TAMIFLU (75 MG) 1/2 TAB BID AT 10 AM OF 27 SEP 2008. During the same period patient was treated with PHENOBARB, OMEPRAZOLE, PARACETAMOL, MIDAZOLAM, CHLORAL HYDRATE, CHLORIDE. Patient died on 11/13/2008.
