Photofrin side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Jan 06, 2006. Male patient, 55 years of age, was diagnosed with sarcomatosis and was treated with Photofrin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute respiratory distress syndrome, fluid overload, pulmonary embolism . Photofrin dosage: 2.5 MG/KG IV. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute respiratory distress syndrome, fluid overload, post procedural complication, pulmonary embolism . Photofrin dosage: 2.5 MG/KG IV/BETWEEN MAY 97 + DEC 98. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 63 years of age, was diagnosed with peritoneal mesothelioma malignant and was treated with Photofrin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute respiratory distress syndrome, anaemia, bacterial sepsis, bradycardia, fluid overload, hepatic failure, hypotension, metabolic acidosis. Photofrin dosage: 2.5 MG/KG IV. During the same period patient was treated with LOPRESSOR, ASPIRIN. Patient died on 08/16/1997.

Photofrin side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on May 11, 2006. Female patient, 58 years of age, was diagnosed with malignant peritoneal neoplasm and was treated with Photofrin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, blood bilirubin increased, blood creatinine increased, bone marrow disorder, coagulopathy, fluid overload, gastrointestinal disorder, gastrointestinal oedema. Photofrin dosage: 2.5 MG/KG IV. During the same period patient was treated with ATIVAN, CALCIUM GLUCONATE, CARAFATE, CEFAZOLIN, FENTANYL, FLAGYL, FLEETS ENEMA, LASIX. Patient died on 10/21/2001.

Photofrin side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Oct 05, 2007. Male patient, 59 years of age, was treated with Photofrin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood bilirubin increased, fluid overload, gallbladder enlargement, haematuria, haemodialysis, haemoglobin decreased. Photofrin dosage: 142.2 MG, 1 DOSE, IV. During the same period patient was treated with VANCOMYCIN, BUDIVACAINE, CEFEPIME, FLAGYL, ZANTAC, LOPRESOR, LEVOTHYROXINE, ZOFRAN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 10/11/2007.
