Pitocin side effect was reported by a Physician from INDIA on Jan 18, 2007. Female patient was diagnosed with labour induction and was treated with Pitocin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute pulmonary oedema, blood ph decreased, blood pressure increased, central venous pressure increased, crepitations, dyspnoea, face oedema, heart rate increased, hyponatraemia. Pitocin dosage: 2 MLU/MIN INCREASED BY 2MIU/MIN Q30 MIN UP TO 64 MIU/MIN. Patient recovered.
