Polymyxin side effect was reported by a Physician from JAPAN on Sept 08, 2005. Female patient, 14 years of age, was diagnosed with gastrointestinal disorder, acute myeloid leukaemia and was treated with Polymyxin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute respiratory distress syndrome, band neutrophil percentage increased, febrile neutropenia, lymphocyte percentage decreased, monocyte percentage increased, purulent discharge, stomatitis, streptococcal sepsis, thyroiditis acute. Polymyxin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CYTARABINE, PIRARUBICIN, VINCRISTINE, KANAMYCIN, AMPHOTERICIN B, SULFAMETHOXAZOLE. Patient recovered.
