Propylthiouracil side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on June 19, 2007. Female patient, 23 years of age, was diagnosed with basedow's disease and was treated with Propylthiouracil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aortic valve incompetence, blood ph increased, blood thyroid stimulating hormone decreased, caesarean section, cardiac murmur, cardiomegaly, chest x-ray abnormal, ejection fraction decreased. Propylthiouracil dosage: 100 MG;TID;PO. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Propylthiouracil side effect was reported by a Physician from JAPAN on Feb 25, 2008. Female patient, 16 years of age, was diagnosed with basedow's disease and was treated with Propylthiouracil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain upper, antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody positive, antiphospholipid syndrome, arthralgia, cardiac murmur, coagulation factor xiii level decreased, deep vein thrombosis What is  deep vein thrombosis, glomerulonephritis, goitre. Propylthiouracil dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
